Ever wonder how we got along without cell phones, BlackBerrys, notebook computers, and fax machines? How did our past generations manage to have fun without video games, MP3 players, and DVRs?

Come to think of it, how did we ever survive without the Internet?

I don't know how, but they did. And you know what? They don't remember ever thinking that they were missing something. They played records, wrote letters, used the phone book, and shopped at stores.

But then for us we got "GADGETS" for everything they make our lives very easier n entertaining....

Today GADGETS evolved n are ruling the technology in this technical world. ..

MAINFRAMES COMPUTERS

In school times, we all must have read about the types of computers. This section also briefs us with the concept of Mainframe Computers.Mainframe Computers are very large computers in which all the units like processor or any other are hung into a single frame. They are used for certain large computing applications or enormous data processing. The term was mainly used for the computers generally manufactured by the IBM.The concept was like read to forget when your exams are over. But now the time has come to polish your all knowledge about mainframes. The recent information in the market confirms that mainframe computers are seeing a comeback in the market. And India which is emerging as the strong contender for driving the economy is set to be the point of onset of these computers.India has expanded its outsourcing projects and the Indian companies are moving up the stairs of choice for outsourcing destinations for foreign firms. This all has raised the needs of larger data computations and processing. Based on this feedback from market trend and the growth rate of about 40-50%, analysts are calculating that India will plug the fire for onset of mainframe computers once again in the industry. The mainframe computers faced a setback in last when distributed computing was on upswing. At that time market become so reluctant to its adoption that it seems to be near extinction. But welcoming bells rang for it once again. It is under renaissance era. Along with reinventing its position in the market, it has also reinvented its scope of functionalities. It will see a change from the traditional domain of bulk data processing and financial transactions to be the center point for IT infrastructure. It will be used to increase security, maintenance and the availability. It is making a strong comeback as the need to manage larger database is increasing and security is becoming the major concern of the companies these days. If market statistics are to be believed, in last few years mainframe computers has gained almost 16% market share. The mainframe computers can host multiple operating systems and can be treated as many virtual machines.
These computers give a boom to the centralized computing. As the concepts of utility computing, cloud computing, thin client architecture along with remote computing are getting faster acceptance, the concept of centralized computing is on the shores. The professionals who have managed a single server might be knowing the complexity and with needs number of servers go on increasing thereby adding to the complexity. With mainframes this complexity will reduce to an acceptable level. The mainframes will definitely hit the market with new face and the better interfaces will let the mainframes to integrate with Web applications and existing client/server architecture. The IBM is all set with its new z Series mainframes and are high on the hopes to ad TCS, RBI, HCL, Satyam, Wipro to its client needs
